Some few testimonials from Diabetes Types 2 Lifeguard plan That are worth mentioning

Please take some few minutes to read this letters:

“Type 2 diabetes turned me into a runner and an advocate. In 2006, at 39 yrs. old, chest pains landed me in the ER; I thought I was having a heart attack.

Fifty pounds’ overweight, poor eating habits and lack of exercise made me the latest victim of diabetes.

After three days in the hospital, I headed home for drastic life changes. Denial, depression, and anger set in.

Eventually, the bad turned into good, as I started eating healthy, dropped 45 pounds, and began walking regularly.

In late 2008, I transitioned to running (slowly!) and have completed six 5K runs, two 10Ks, and most recently, my first half marathon, with three more planned next year!

Though I often fight illness and still deal with the occasional anger and depression about having diabetes, I am thankful for the many positive changes diabetes has brought into my life.” — Robin LeRoy-Kyle, Age 43, Type 2 diabetes

“In August of 2002, weighing in at 220 pounds, I was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes. I was put on oral medication told to lose weight.

This was very hard for me to hear, as I had been a yo-yo dieter ALL my life. I was an overweight child, who grew up to be an overweight teen, adult and then a yo-yo dieter.

However, I followed my doctor suggested that I take a diabetes class to help get me started.

I also as did a lot of research on my own. I lost 65 pounds! Three years after my diagnosis, I was taken off of the medication.

I now control my diabetes through eating a proper diet and exercise. I have my A1C checked every 6 months and my numbers have still been good.

It has now been over seven years that I have kept the weight off and five years that I have been off of the medication. I’m living proof…It can be done!” — Angela Myles, Age 40, Type 2 diabetes

Being diagnosed with diabetes can forever change your way of living and your life above all.

You should never forget that you have the power to change that changes in you in order to have a more healthy and happy life by kissing diabetes goodbye forever.

In fact, diabetes rate rises in more epidemic way, the ‘American Diabetes Association’ reports that:

– 26 million Americans have type 2 diabetes
-79 million Americans are pre-diabetic.
-1.6 new cases of diabetes are reported each year.
– For those over age 65, 1 in 4 has diabetes.
– Diabetes increases the heart attack risk.
-75% of adults with diabetes will develop high blood pressure.
-Diabetes is the leading cause of blindness, kidney failure, and nervous system disorders.

Let me also tell you a bit about the author of this program

-Arnold Giles, Chicago, diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes.

Of course like some few of us feared to check the doctors (like myself here).

Arnold Gills ignored the importance of visiting the doctor though after his diagnosis.

It was, say, rather a bad choice.

It all started bad for him, perhaps, when at first it was subtle for him.

Here, I remember something that happens about one year ago. It is about my cousin sister who was also a patient of type 2 diabetes of which I was inspired to write this.

My cousin was like feeling she is losing some weight over a couple of weeks which obviously she is happy about because she felt she is coming into the body shape.

Delighted she is. She cared less. So she began to eat whatever she sees, not too much aware of the fact of anything.

She would go out for vacation, eat out with her friends, go on food tours, enjoy cupcakes every now and then, not to forget how much she crave for dark chocolates and cookies, she had them all, different southern foods, sweets, Indian delicacies, and biscuits,  there are lots to mention anyways.

The truth is, in spite of all of this intake, she was still not gaining weight instead she began to feel drowsy, more tired and feel dizzy after a short hour of traveling, like feeling the burning leakage after every intake with sweet heavy breaths.

Soon, she felt suspicious about what is happening to her body, it was confirmed that her sugar level is not balanced and that moment, she was like feeling terrible, she would blurt out,  ‘is this some kind of joke, for someone who loves food. Why? ‘

I remember for the few first weeks she refused to eat her foods apart from being fed for her dosage. It was devastating actually.

Her fears of injection all gone to a hopeless dream to the fact on how the dose of insulin was injected before every meal and before sleep.

As far to this, is what I want to say to all of you that you must not ignore the importance of getting a check up or visit a doctor timely.

As the author himself have stated in his official writing:

“…. I was still losing weight, looking for restrooms, feeling tired and dizzy, and I had that heavy sweet breath.

I went to a shop and bought a glucose monitor. My suspicions were confirmed Now all the symptoms, which had before seemed subtle, came screaming out at me. Diabetes!

The next few months were terrible …

I was hospitalized because my sugar balance was completely out of whack!

My blood sugar level regularly peaked above 500 and my HbA1c was 12.8. I had to inject rapid-acting insulin before every meal and long-acting insulin before going to sleep…. “

This incident had led him to find a new beginning of inspecting on what other alternate methods would help him find a means to fight this disease.

After a long 11 month of investigating. He found a solution; he named it,
the sugar bowl.

What is this sugar bowl?

All right, here is a best-explained illustration,

“Imagine your bodies as a sugar bowl. A bowl of sugar. When you are young, your sugar bowl is empty.

Over decades, as one eats too much of the wrong things – sugary cereals, desserts and white bread, the sugar bowl gradually fills up with sugar until it is completely full.

The next time you eat, sugar enters the body, but sugar bowl is so full, it spills out into the blood.

Insulin is a normal hormone produced when we eat, and its job is to allow glucose into the cells. When it is no longer able to do it, glucose piles up outside the cell in the blood. This is called insulin resistance.

But why does this happen?

The cells are already over-filled with glucose.

Like trying to blow air into an over-inflated balloon, it simply takes more force. The cell resists the glucose because it is completely full. Insulin resistance is an overflow phenomenon.”

Still, the problem is yet to be solved.

Once again let us imagine another example;
you keep on lying about your weight problems to whoever asked you. You encourage yourself that you are not sick and you are fine about it and it goes on and on.

You knew that something is wrong but refused to admit yourself into realizing that you are sick. Well, in the end, what happen?  It just turns worse.
Like this, if a person can understand that too much sugar in the blood is toxic, why can’t a person understand that too much sugar in the body is toxic too?

Isn’t it obvious? Why bother about going through all of this anyway if you know.

Well, everyone has our reason but we cannot just merely blame reasons for what is going wrong.

How to manage Diabetes?

Understanding type 2 diabetes is important like how we need to understand our body.

Like I said do not just simply hide it to the fact that you get sick or worse than just being sick in the end.

These two simple steps will help-
1. Do not take too much sugar, keep a balanced diet.
2. Burn the sugar.

It is simple sounds like.
No medication.
No drugs.
No expenditure.
Free of cost.
All you have to do is maintain and self-regulate your intake of your foods and sugar intake.

I am explaining a little bit more about those two mentioned.

  1. In order to avoid excessive sugar, first, one need to know that sugar has no nutritional value, eat less refined carbs and doesn’t it seem obvious that one should avoid foods that raise the body’s blood sugar because they will eventually be absorbed into the body?
  2. Burning it off?  Sugar burn?

Yes, it is possible.
All you need to do is just to follow some few natural steps.

Add some few fruits and green vegetables in your daily diet chart.

It wouldn’t cost you much.

Fasting is one of the simplest and fastest methods to force your body to burn sugar for energy.

But excessive fasting may also lead you to degenerate your body functions.

Glucose in the blood is the most easily accessible source of energy for the body.

In other words, fasting is merely the other side of eating, if you are not eating, obviously, you are fasting.

When you eat, your body stores the food energy. When you fast, your body burns that food energy you had in your earlier meals.

If you simply lengthen out your periods of fasting, you can burn off the stored sugar.

Coming back to the author, after his diagnosis he followed some simple guide that he made for himself and which is now what is important for this program.

It’s amazing how his weight drops from a 500 to 380, then from a 320 to 280 and so on…

Until it gets into a normal of 100, he nailed it.

What did he do?

  • Reduce oral medication and insulin in order to see changes in his diet that are causing his sugar level to drop.
  • Soon after he figured that since the supplement/nutrition combination he was using managed all the excess sugar in his body, he could try introducing many of the foods he loved back into his diet than on.
There the ‘ no’ ‘no ‘ foods were already his favorite once again.

The feeling of relief and feeling alive once again to be right on track is the best feeling ever.

It’s great to be at the right place

  • The feelings of having no more doubts, able to realize you have conquered your fight with something you thought you would not win.
  • Able to have foods that you love without any worries and doubts.
  • The feeling to not ever look back at scary insulin needle ever again is perhaps the best thing ever.

It is liberating and it gives you your hormone lingering all over for another beautiful set-off.
